Biography
Dr. Malaisrie's special interests include the Marfan syndrome and related connective tissue disorders, bicuspid aortic valve, aortic aneurysms, and aortic dissections. In addition to complex aortic surgery encompassing valve-sparing aortic root replacement, aortic arch reconstruction, thoracoabdominal aortic repair, and endovascular stent grafting, Dr. Malaisrie performs the full spectrum of cardiac surgery including coronary artery bypass, valve surgery, heart transplantation, and Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) implantation. Dr. Malaisrie is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
