About this measure
The Leapfrog Group scores Patient Experience using data on the HCAHPS composite measure. This measure includes patient responses to questions about pain control, communication involving medication and whether or not patients were given information about what to do during their recovery at home. Scores are reported as:
2 = Some Progress
3 = Substantial Progress
4 = Fully Meets Standards
Note: In this case, a higher number is better.
