Ambulatory surgery is surgery performed on an outpatient basis, which means the surgical patients do not require a hospital stay.
The Ambulatory Surgery Center at Northwestern Memorial has 10 operating rooms, 30 private rooms and a spacious waiting room for patients and their families. The outpatient surgical services we deliver are nationally renowned, and we serve as a national model for delivering state-of-the-art outpatient surgical services and improving access to quality care.
