Judy joined the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute of Northwestern Memorial Hospital in 2009. She coordinates the care and education of patients who will undergo electrophysiology procedures for heart rhythm disorders, including pacemaker and implantable cardioverter defibrillator implantations, catheter (radiofrequency) ablations, cardioversions and hospital admissions to receive antiarrhythmic drug therapy.
Judy has worked as a cardiac electrophysiology advance practice nurse for over 10 years. Taking on various roles throughout her nursing career in the cardiology field, Judy has worked in a coronary care unit, cardiac surgery intensive care unit, congestive heart failure clinic, and a cardiac rehabilitation unit. Judy is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Judy believes that education of the patient and their family is key to a positive outcome for the patient.
