Lauren Manzara is part of Northwestern’s Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute and is staffed as a nurse practitioner on the Galter 10 heart failure/cardiology inpatient and observation unit. Her responsibilities include: management of patient care; evaluating patient symptoms and problems; developing, diagnosing and acquiring treatment plans.
Lauren Manzara belongs to several nursing societies/associations including: Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association and Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing. She worked at Loyola University Chicago Hospital as a staff nurse for six years on a cardiac telemetry unit, caring for lung and heart transplant, cardiac surgery, general cardiology and heart failure patients.
Lauren received her first Bachelor of Science in nutrition from Eastern Illinois University, and the second in nursing from Elmhurst College, graduating cum laude. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Loyola University Chicago, graduating with a specialty in cardiovascular nursing.
