Biographical Sketch:

In 1993 Martha started her nursing career at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, working in the Wesley Pavilion on a general medicine unit. From there she became a travel nurse working at such places as Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut and Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan.

Upon returning to Chicago Martha obtained a position at the University of Chicago (U of C) working with a general cardiologist. Martha stayed at U of C for over 10 years and it was here that she became involved in cardiology clinical research. In 2009 Martha was hired in the Clinical Trials Unit of Northwestern as a project coordinator for the Department of Electrophysiology. In 2010 Martha accepted the atrial fibrillation nurse coordinator position for Electrophysiology. Martha’s community outreach initiatives include volunteering in the medical tents for the Chicago Marathon.
