The Medical Explorers program is based on five areas of emphasis:

How to Become an Explorer

If you are interested in becoming a medical explorer and would like to apply, please submit a completed application along with the following items:

  • $50 annual registration fee (Fee Waiver with proof of free/reduced lunch program)

  • Official school transcript

  • Personal statement

  • One academic recommendation (school counselor or teacher)

  • Northwestern Memorial Hospital Medical Explorer Standards, Protocols, and Bylaws document, signed by a parent/guardian

Additionally, you must be at least 14-years-old and must have completed 8th grade by the time you begin the program.

Medical Explorer Membership Application

The Medical Explorer membership application is due by Friday, September 28, 2012.
