Coping & Support
The National Association of Anorexia Nervosa & Associated Disorders (ANAD)
ANAD has a listing of support groups on their website. Some of these groups are led by professionals, and others are peer support groups often started by people who are or have been in treatment for an eating disorder.
Professionally-led Support Groups
Professionally-led support groups are becoming more difficult to find. However, there is an intensive outpatient program (IOP) called Insight into Eating that offers a range of eating disorder support. They have to Chicago area locations. For more information call their Chicago location at 312-540-9955 or their North Shore location at 847-604-1918.
