Biographical Sketch:

Amanda is an advanced practice nurse in cardiac surgery for Northwestern’s Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute. She brings seven years nursing experience in cardiology and intensive care to the team. Prior to transitioning into the APN role with cardiac surgery, Amanda served as a clinical coordinator in the coronary care unit (CCU) at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Currently, Amanda is responsible for the management of inpatient cardiac surgery patients. She works in collaboration with cardiac surgeons and other multidisciplinary team members to care for this patient population.

Amanda completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2004 at Indiana Wesleyan University and in 2012 completed a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and as a Critical Care Registered Nurse by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Amanda is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
