Biographical Sketch:

A Chicago native, Deborah received her Master’s Degree in Medical Science from the Emory University Physician Assistant Program in 2000. Her physician assistant career began just after graduation at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta practicing in Vascular Surgery. During this time, she was a frequent lecturer at the Emory University Physician Assistant program on topics including Vascular Surgery, post-operative care and suturing techniques. In 2006, Deborah relocated to southeast Virginia where she continued to work in both Vascular and Bariatric Surgical practices as well as continuing to lecture to physician assistant students at Eastern Virginia Medical School.

Deborah returned to the Chicago area in 2009 and began working at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She has been working with the vascular surgery team in the outpatient setting since 2010. Throughout her professional career, she has had the opportunity to work in both the outpatient and inpatient settings, assisting in surgery, caring for critically ill and hospitalized patients, as well as offering counseling and education to patients on peripheral vascular disease and prevention.
