Georgeanne is the Heart Valve Nurse Coordinator for the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute of Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She assists in the coordination of care for patients who will undergo surgery for valvular heart disease in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
She has over 20 years of nursing experience in pediatric and adult cardiac surgery. She has worked at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago facilitating postoperative care of children needing surgery for congenital heart disease. Georgeanne's most recent experience prior to coming to the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute was as a nurse clinician for the cardiothoracic team at Loyola University Medical Center.
Georgeanne joined the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute in 2005 as a nurse clinician in the Department of Cardiology. In 2008 she accepted the position as the Heart Valve Nurse Coordinator. Her areas of special interest include: cardiac surgery, heart valve disease and women's cardiovascular health.
