Biographical Sketch:

Megan is a nurse practitioner in cardiothoracic surgery for the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute of Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She works with patients while in the hospital (cardiothoracic intensive care unit and step-down unit) facilitating postoperative management and care. Her areas of special interest include heart failure, cardiac transplantation and patient education.

Megan received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Georgetown University and worked as a nurse in various Emergency Departments in New York City. She returned to school and completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Columbia University. She is certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
