Tests
Patients with tremor are seen by a fellowship-trained movement disorders neurologist. A diagnosis is made after obtaining a complete medical history (including family history) and performing a thorough neurological evaluation. Tests may be ordered to determine if medical or lifestyle factors are contributing to the tremor.
Other tests may include:
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Computed Tomography (CT)
- Blood tests
- Urine tests
- Electromyography (EMG)
- Additional tests and screenings to rule out other conditions or disorders
