New Mom Support Group
This class is offered to assist new mothers with postpartum adjustment during the baby's first year. This ongoing, unstructured discussion group is facilitated by a clinical expert with particular expertise in helping women successfully cope with the challenges of the childbearing years. Learn techniques to better cope with difficult emotions and stressful situations. A complimentary, on-site, baby holding service is available. This support group offers women a chance to explore their feelings. This is recommended for women feeling stressed, depressed or anxious and in need for additional support during this time. Good for women with a history of postpartum depression or difficulty with postpartum adjustment with previous pregnancies. The mother may bring her baby to the support group. This is a series that is six-weeks long. The group meets every Monday morning. A clinical social worker will contact you before registration is complete to ensure that this class is best for you.
