Clinical Trials
Patients come to Northwestern Memorial to have their transplant for many reasons, one of which is our world-class transplant clinical research program. Northwestern Memorial has a history of commitment to the study and treatment of patients with diseases of the intestine. Our faculty surgeons, medical gastroenterologists and research coordinators work together to study intestinal diseases through clinical research trials that help ensure the best care possible for our patients. Several members of our faculty hold nationally competitive research grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
