Northwestern Memorial Named Chicago's "Most Preferred" Hospital For Nine Years Running
For the ninth consecutive year, Chicago consumers have chosen Northwestern Memorial Hospital as their most preferred hospital, according to a survey conducted by the National Research Corporation (NRC). A winner for nearly a decade, the 2007 survey results mark the third straight year that Northwestern Memorial has been the sole winner of the Consumer Choice Award in Chicago.
The NRC, a leader in healthcare performance measurement, asked consumers to rate hospitals using four criteria: best doctors, best nurses, best overall quality and best image and reputation. Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected in the company’s annual Healthcare Market Guide Study (HCMG), the nation’s largest and most comprehensive study of its kind. The NRC surveys more than 200,000 households representing 400,000 consumers.
The announcement of the award winners appears in this week’s edition of Modern Healthcare.
