Third Annual Minds Matter Benefit Supports Brain Tumor Research and Programs
Actress Bonnie Hunt will be special guest at Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute Fundraiser
The Third Annual Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute (NBTI) Minds Matter Benefit Dinner will be held Friday, September 30, at 6 p.m., at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago, 160 E. Pearson. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit research and programs at NBTI, a nationally recognized leader in the fight against brain and spinal cord tumors. The institute was launched by the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, in partnership with Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, to accelerate efforts to advance research breakthroughs and to improve treatment, outcomes, and quality of life for patients with brain and spinal tumors. Minds Matter is made possible through the generosity of presenting sponsors Drs. Rudy, Asma, Elias and Randa Sabbagha.
Actress, comedienne and television producer Bonnie Hunt will be a special guest and musical entertainment will be provided by Gentlemen of Leisure at the Minds Matter event. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on live auction items including a trip to a Cubs game with Hunt; a chance for a child to serve as an honorary bat girl or boy at a White Sox game; a Napa Valley wine and dine getaway; travel on a private plane for a golf experience at Sand Hills Golf Club in Mullen, Neb.; and other exclusive items. Guests can also purchase tickets for the “Best of Live” raffle, which provides the opportunity to win select auction items without being the highest bidder.
Individual dinner tickets are $300 per person. A number of sponsorship opportunities are also available. To purchase tickets, view or learn more about sponsorships, visit www.braintumorinstitute.org or call 312-926-8656. Money raised will benefit research and programs at NBTI.
