Dr. Julie Barton entered into practice at Lake Shore Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1992 after completing her residency at Northwestern Memorial's Prentice Women's Hospital. Prior to this, she completed her undergraduate degree in animal science at the University of California at Davis and medical school at Northwestern University School of Medicine. She is currently an assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine.

Care of the breast cancer survivor, preventive health care, laparoscopy and obstetrics are Dr. Barton's primary interests but she enjoys the challenges provided by all aspects of the field. She provides compassionate care within a strong group of colleagues and works collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for her patients.
