Biography
Dr. Davison specializes in cardiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital with a special interest in ischemic heart disease.
He graduated from medical school at Buenos Aires University in 1963, and completed his internship at the Institute for Medical Research, also in Buenos Aires.
Dr. Davison went on to complete his residency at Passavant Hospital at Northwestern Memorial and finished his cardiology fellowship at the Veterans Administration Lakeside Hospital. In addition to practicing cardiology at Northwestern Memorial, he is the Lawrence Hicks Professor in Critical Care Medicine at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, was chief of Cardiology, and is a member of the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation.
Highly regarded by his students, Dr. Davison has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching. In both 2003 and 2004 he received the Excellence in Teaching Award from the senior resident class, and was named Teacher of the Year by the Division of Cardiology Fellows in 2004.
Among more than a dozen distinguished awards, Dr. Davison has been named Outstanding Teacher three times during his career at the medical school and has also received the Division of Cardiology's Attending Recognition Award.
Dr. Davison is board certified in cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, and critical care medicine. He is fluent in both Spanish and Italian.
