Biography
Dr. Denes is a cardiologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital with a special interest in heart arrhythmias.
A member of the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation, Dr. Denes is also a professor in the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. He was the chief of Cardiology at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago for a number of years prior to joining the Division of Cardiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Denes is involved in a number of volunteer and community outreach programs. He is active in international medical aid groups, traveling to developing countries to provide primary health care with groups including NUAID, a Feinberg School of Medicine program where he was the physician leader for the medical school students. He is a physician leader at a weekly Spanish-speaking health clinic where he mentors Spanish-speaking internal medicine residents and provides care for the uninsured/underinsured.
Dr. Denes attended medical school at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. He completed his internship and residency at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., and his cardiology fellowship in 1972 at the University of Chicago Hospitals.
Dr. Denes is board certified in cardiovascular disease, cardiac electrophysiology, and internal medicine.
