Biography

Dr. Gerami is an assistant professor of Dermatology at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. He is board certified in dermatology and dermatopathology. Dr. Gerami completed his residency training in dermatology at the University of Iowa in the Department of Dermatology and completed his fellowship training in dermatopathology in the Division of Dermatology at the University of Chicago. His special interests include cutaneous lymphomas, pediatric dermatopathology and panniculitis. He is a staff physician in the multidisciplinary cutaneous lymphoma clinic at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, providing care for patients with mycosis fungoides and other cutaneous T- and B-cell lymphomas.

Dr. Gerami has research interests in further characterizing cutaneous lymphomas using both immunohistochemical and molecular pathology techniques. He is also interested in the use of biologic therapies for cutaneous lymphoma patients. His research interests in pediatric dermatopathology are broad and include the improved pathologic characterization of a variety of pediatric skin disorders.
