Dr. McDonald was born and raised in Chicago, attending the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools from 1st grade through High school. She then moved to New Orleans and matriculated at Xavier University of Louisiana. Dr. McDonald graduated from Xavier in 2003 with a major in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Spanish. After over 10 years of study and extended stays in Mexico and Spain, she is fluent in Spanish.

Dr. McDonald went on to attend Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. McDonald completed residency at Rush University Medical Center in 2011. In July of 2011 she rejoined the Northwestern community by joining Women’s Health Consulting, IL, LLC, the private practice of Lewis Blumenthal MD, Scott Hite MD, Kellie Butler MD and Shayna Rubin MD. Dr. McDonald takes pride in the general practice of obstetrics and gynecology- well-woman exams, prenatal care, cervical cancer screening, etc. She also has a special interest in utero-vaginal prolapse and urinary incontinence. The evaluation and treatment of incontinence is both interesting and fulfilling. Dr. McDonald is able to evaluate patients to determine their exact type of incontinence. She is skilled and knowledgeable in both non-surgical and surgical treatment options.

Whether an adolescent patient with abnormal bleeding, a patient with an abnormal pap result, a newly or soon-to-be pregnant patient or a perimenopausal woman, Dr. McDonald is available to work with you to care for your patients in need of obstetrical and gynecological services.
