Robert A. Gordon, MD is a cardiologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, an assistant professor of Medicine at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in the Department of Medicine and a member of the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation. In addition to internal medicine and general cardiology, he has subspecialty training in advanced heart failure and transplantation and is trained in emergency medicine.

Dr. Gordon has special interest in acute heart failure syndromes and their management as well as both short and long term outcomes. In addition, his focus is on diet and exercise and how this is integrated into the long term care of patients with chronic heart failure as well as those that have undergone advanced heart failure therapies including transplantation and ventricular assist devices.

He is an active member of the American Heart Association, Heart Failure Society of America, American College of Cardiology, Internal Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation and American College of Emergency Physicians.
