Biography

Dr. Dana Gossett completed her premedical education at Bryn Mawr College in 1994. She attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and received her medical degree in 1998. She completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. After finishing her training, she did molecular oncology research at the University of Michigan into the mechanisms of endometrial cancer and new treatment options. She then spent several years taking care of indigent patients in rural Michigan, before joining the faculty of Northwestern.

At Northwestern, Dr. Gossett is currently the Division Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the Director of Research for the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program. She also has several ongoing clinical research projects. Her clinical interests include: pediatric and adolescent gynecology and teen pregnancy, chronic pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding, multiple gestations, and peripartum mood disorders.
