Biography
Rajesh Gupta, MD is an attending cardiologist in the Division of Cardiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Dr. Gupta is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. His cardiology practice encompasses general cardiology with a focus on heart failure and chemotherapy-related heart disease. His clinical interests also include cancer and heart disease, hypertension, cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease, high cholesterol, diabetes, and diet and lifestyle treatments for heart disease.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Gupta performs research in the Feinberg Cardiovascular Research Institute on methods to repair heart damage after a heart attack or in the setting of heart failure.
Dr. Gupta received his medical degree from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He then returned to Northwestern and completed his cardiology fellowship.
