Biography
Dr. Priya Kansal is a cardiologist at the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute of Northwestern Memorial Hospital and an assistant professor of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
Dr. Kansal is board certified in cardiology, internal medicine, nuclear medicine and echocardiography. She completed her residency, chief residency and cardiology fellowships at Cook County Hospital in Chicago (now John Stroger Hospital). Dr. Kansal also received specialty training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Kansal has a wide range of experience in medical management of heart failure, ventricular assist devices and heart transplantation. She is also involved in multiple clinical trials for management and treatment of heart failure. Her research interests include mechanisms of rejection and non-invasive methods for identification of clinical rejection of transplanted hearts.
