Biography
Michael H. Kim, MD is an attending cardiac electrophysiologist and the associate director of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Laboratory at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He is an associate professor of medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and a member of the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation. His clinical and research interests focus on atrial fibrillation, catheter ablation, cardiovascular outcomes, quality of care, health economics, device based therapies, and arrhythmias in general.
He is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Rochester School of Medicine. All Postgraduate training (internal medicine, cardiology/electrophysiology, and chief resident medicine) was completed at the University of Michigan Hospitals. Prior work experience before Northwestern included positions as the director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory at Rush University Medical Center and as the director of the Pacemaker and Defibrillator Program at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare. He has authored over 140 publications in peer-reviewed medical journals (papers and abstracts) and currently serves as an editorial referee for seven specialty journals including the Annals of Internal Medicine, Heart Rhythm, PACE, and the Journal of Cardiac Electrophysiology.
