Biography

Dr. Christina Lewicky-Gaupp is a native Chicagoan. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Russian literature from Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She then went on to obtain her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago where she was inducted into the medical honors society, Alpha Omega Alpha. She subsequently completed a four year residency at the University of Chicago where she was chief resident. Dr. Lewicky-Gaupp then completed a three-year accredited fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. There she was mentored by 2 renowned urogynecologists, Drs. John DeLancey and Dee Fenner and published numerous peer-reviewed studies.

Dr. Lewicky-Gaupp is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She is an attending physician with the Division of Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery and is both board certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She works primarily in the Integrative Pelvic Health Program, a multi-specialty collaborative initiative within the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation and founded the Helping Healing Program, specializing in treating women with severe birth trauma. She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) as well as the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS).

Dr. Lewicky-Gaupp’s clinical interests include female pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, reconstructive vaginal and robotic surgery, rectovaginal fistula repair, repair and treatment of birth trauma and overactive bladder syndromes.

Dr. Lewicky-Gaupp has published 16 peer-reviewed articles as well as several book chapters. She has consistently demonstrated excellence in patient care as well as teaching. Most recently, she was honored with the Magnus T. Urnes Award, given to the most outstanding teacher in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern.
