Biography
Dr. Lumicao has been in the Department of Cardiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for 35 years, and is an assistant professor of Clinical Medicine at Northwester University's Feinberg School of Medicine. His areas of special interest include hypertension and hypercholesterolemia; he also participates in clinical trials and research initiatives.
Dr. Lumicao graduated from medical school at University of the East, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in the Philippines. He started his residency in internal medicine at Illinois Masonic Medical Center and completed his residency at Passavant Hospital at Northwestern where he was chief resident in medicine. He completed a fellowship at the University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians. He is also fluent in Tagalog.
