Dr. Martini currently the director of the Pigmented Lesion and Melanoma Clinic and an associate professor of Dermatology at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. She is also a member of the Lurie Cancer Center and is a member of the multidisciplinary melanoma clinic in the cancer center. Dr. Martini completed a master's degree in developmental biology from Case Western Reserve University and received her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University. After her medical internship at Northwestern University, she completed her dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh. She subsequently joined the faculty of the Department of Dermatology of the University of Pittsburgh as director of the Photobiology Unit and the director of Contact and Occupational Dermatology. Dr. Martini joined the faculty at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine in 2002. She directs the multi-disciplinary Pigmented Lesions/ Melanoma clinic as well as the Contact and Occupational Dermatology clinic which includes allergic patch testing. Her research is focused on new, non-invasive techniques to characterize melanomas and their prognosis.

She currently serves on the Melanoma Panel of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, the melanoma and skin cancer prevention working group of ECOG and the Melanoma Task Force of the American Academy of Dermatology
