Dr. Michael Miloro is a Professor of Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Miloro, a native New Yorker, attended the University of Rochester in New York, and then received his dental degree at Tufts University Dental School in Boston. He received his medical degree, General Surgery training and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency training at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Miloro has held academic positions at The Ohio State University, the University of Maryland at Baltimore, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has been published extensively in the medical literature with over 50 peer-reviewed publications, and has written many textbook chapters, and he serves on the Editorial Board of several surgical journals, and he is the Editor of a major textbook on the Principles of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Miloro has clincial and research interests in dental implants, bone graft healing, nerve regeneration, and orthognathic surgery. He has lectured nationally and internationally on many subjects including nerve injuries, distraction osteogenesis, minimally-invasive surgery, and complex maxillofacial trauma management.
