Dr. Nikki Neubauer is a board certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist specializing in Gynecologic Oncology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University. She is the Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery and Robotics with the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. Neubauer completed an Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in 2012. She began her medical training at Case Western University in Cleveland, OH and completed her residency in OB/GYN at Duke University Medical Center.
Her research focuses on endometrial cancer, gestational trophoblastic disease, minimally invasive surgery, investigating new surgical techniques and technology, and quality of life issues in cancer patients. She has authored several articles on these topics and presented research regarding minimally invasive surgery at national conferences. Dr. Neubauer’s interest in minimally invasive surgery has led her to develop a robotic surgery training program for residents. This program draws on simulation training and non-traditional educational techniques to provide residents with a stronger skill learned outside of the operating room.
