Biography
Rod S. Passman, MD, an attending cardiologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital specializing in cardiac electrophysiology, is the medical director for the Program for Atrial Fibrillation at the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute, associate director of Cardiac Electrophysiology and a member of the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation. His clinical experience includes diagnostic electrophysiology, ablation, and device implantation and management.
An associate professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Dr. Passman's research focuses on atrial fibrillation, emerging indications for defibrillators, and device programming. He currently holds grants from the National Institutes of Health as well as from private industry.
Dr. Passman, a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completed his internship and residency at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center in New York. He conducted his fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He also received a master's degree in epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. Dr. Passman is board certified in cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology.
