Biography
Dr. Reinecke is a Clinical Psychologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He also serves as Chief Psychologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Dr.Reinecke has received recognition for his work on the assessment and treatment of depression and suicide among children and adolescents. He is a Distinguished Fellow and former president of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, and a Diplomat of the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in Clinical Psychology and Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. Dr. Reinecke also is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (Divisions 12, 53, & 54) and the Association for Psychological Science.
He is an active member of the American Psychological Association, the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, the American Psychological Society, and the Society for Research in Child Development.
Dr. Reinecke was a principal investigator on the Treatment of Adolescents with Depression Study (TADS). He has lectured internationally and has served as a visiting professor at institutions in Europe and Asia. Widely published, Dr. Reinecke has published approximately 100 papers and chapters, and has authored or edited seven books, including Cognitive therapy across the lifespan, Comparative treatments of depression, and Cognitive therapy with Children and adolescents.
