Biography
Julie L. Roth, MD is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and an expert in the field of obesity, nutrition, and related diseases. Dr. Roth has a particular emphasis in the field of women's health. She is an assistant professor of medicine at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Roth also is on staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and serves as the Medical Director for the Nutrition Support Service. She sees patients at Chicago Lake Shore Medical Associates. Dr. Roth has given numerous lectures in the medical and non-medical communities on obesity, nutrition, diabetes and other health issues. She has authored or co-authored several articles on obesity, nutrition support and the metabolic syndrome. Dr. Roth is frequently quoted in national, regional and local media as an obesity expert. She has appeared on the nationally syndicated Dr. Oz Show as an obesity expert.
