Dr. Strauss is an Attending Radiation Oncologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology, Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center. His MD is from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and his residency was done at Rush University Medical Center. Dr. Strauss also has an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
He is the Director of Brachytherapy in the Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Strauss was ARRO - Educator of the year, 2011-2012 at Northwestern University as well as ASCO IDEA - International Development and Education Award, and mentor at Illinois Radiological Society - Resident Research Award, 2008.
Dr. Strauss is an active member of American Brachytherapy Society (ABS), American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), the American College or Radiology as well as the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). His bibliography includes >70 peer reviewed articles and he serves as reviewer for Radiotherapy & Oncology, Radiation Oncology publications and has reviewed >10 articles.
He specializes in the treatment of breast cancer for females and males, gynecologic cancers and sarcoma.
