Biography
Ranya Sweis, MD is an attending interventional cardiologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, a member of the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation and an assistant professor of Medicine in the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Her professional interests include coronary artery disease, valvular and structural heart disease, cardiac critical care, as well as the prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of heart disease, especially in women and young adults. Her research interests include the epidemiology of heart disease and outcomes of cardiovascular interventions.
Dr. Sweis is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology. After graduating from the Duke University School of Medicine in 2002, Dr. Sweis pursued internship and residency training in the combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency program at the University of Michigan. She completed her general and interventional cardiovascular fellowship training, as well as a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation degree at Northwestern University.
