Dr. Vanagunas is a gastroenterologist on staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a professor of medicine at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine.
He is a distinguished educator in the field of gastroenterology who serves on numerous hospital and medical school committees. He also is a distinguished lecturer who has addressed many local and national medical meetings. Additionally, he is a reviewer of several medical journals, including the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).
Dr. Vanagunas is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, and a member of the American Gastroenterologic Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He also has been recognized in Best Doctors in America and America's Top Doctors.
