Dr. Jeffrey Wayne is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

After graduating from Dartmouth College, he earned his MD at Boston University. He trained in General Surgery at the University of Chicago, and subsequently completed a Surgical Oncology Fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

He is a member of the NCCN Sarcoma Panel and a member of the NCCN GIST task force. He is currently an Associate Medical Director of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Chief of Melanoma and Sarcoma Surgery within the Division of Gastrointestinal and Oncologic Surgery.

His clinical and research interests include the multidisciplinary management of melanoma, soft tissue sarcoma, and upper gastrointestinal tumors.

He serves on the editorial board of the American Journal of Clinical Oncology, and is an author of 50 scientific articles and 12 book chapters. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and the Society of Surgical Oncology. He is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Association for Academic Surgery, the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, and the Connective Tissue Oncology Society.
