Biography
Dr. Williams was born and raised in Columbia, Missouri. He attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biological Sciences in 1999. He also completed his Medical Degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine in 2003. Dr. Williams then moved to Chicago where he was acceptd into and completed his internal medicine residency here at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in 2006. During his residency, Dr. Williams received a teaching award and participated in several research projects involving functional gastrointestinal disorders as well as gastrointestinal bleeds. Following residency, Dr. Williams further developed his internal medicine and teaching skills while working for a year as a Hospitalist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital with the Chicago Lake Shore Medical Associates. He then completed the Gastroenterology fellowship program at St. Louis University Hospital in 2010 where he contributed to various research projects involving probiotics as well as Crohn's disease.
Dr. Williams is excited to have the opportunity to return to Chicago where he serves as a Gastroenterologist with the Chicago Lake Shore Medical Associates and is a Clinical Instructor in the Northwestern Department of Internal Medicine Feinberg School of Medicine. He is currently accepting new patients and looks forward to having the opportunity to contributing to the care of patients in the Chicagoland area.
