Biography
At a very young age, Dr. Yang knew he wanted to become a physician. In fact, he entered the Honors Program in Medical Education at Northwestern University straight out of high school. After completing three years of undergraduate studies at Northwestern, he received his medical degree from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed his internship at the University of Illinois Hospital and Clinics and then completed his residency training in ophthalmology at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Yang completed his specialty fellowship training in glaucoma at University Eye Specialists in 2001. Currently, he holds the position of Clinical Instructor at Northwestern where he enjoys teaching residents surgery and glaucoma specialty care.
Dr. Yang is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and maintains membership in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, the Chicago Ophthalmological Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
