Bone Cancer: Success of the Multidisciplinary Approach (audio)

Alan Yasko, MD, MBA, will discuss the importance of a team approach to the diagnosis and the treatment of these cancers. He will emphasize the value of multidisciplinary management at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University for patients who may need one or a combination of cancer therapies including chemotherapy, radiation and/or surgery with state-of-the-art limb-sparing skeletal and soft tissue reconstructive surgery. Dr. Yasko highlights current efforts of patient-specific treatments that can yield favorable outcomes while preserving musculoskeletal function in order to improve quality of life for the patient.
