Cardiovascular Genetics: Am I at Risk? (audio)
In this podcast, Hossein Ardehali, MD, PhD will discuss how a genetic predisposition in addition to environmental factors may contribute to the development of various cardiovascular disorders. He also will discuss tests for disorders with clear familial predisposition and how genetic tests can be used to identify patients at high risk of coronary artery disease. Dr. Ardehali will explain how the results of genetic testing can influence treatment strategies for patients.
Hossein Ardehali, MD, PhD is the director of Cardiovascular Genetics Program at the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute of Northwestern and associate professor of Medicine, Molecular Pharmacology and Biologic Chemistry at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
