Irregular Heart Rhythms: Advances in Cardiac Electrophysiology (audio)

Jeffrey J. Goldberger, MD, will discuss how catheter (radiofrequency) ablation is used to treat atrial fibrillation and supraventricular tachycardia, potentially eliminating the need for lifelong drug therapy. The use of implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD) to prevent sudden cardiac death also will be discussed.
