Certified infection staff per 100 beds
Healthcare associated infections are a problem in hospitals across the country. Infection prevention and control staff members work in the hospital to help reduce the number of infections acquired by patients during a hospital stay. They provide expertise in disease transmission and prevention.
About This Measure
This measure tracks the total number of Certified Infection Control hospital infection prevention and control staff per 100 authorized beds. A higher number may indicate that a hospital provides a higher level of patient care.
