Healthcare associated infections are a problem in hospitals across the country. Infection prevention and control staff members work in the hospital to help reduce the number of infections acquired by patients during a hospital stay. They provide expertise in disease transmission and prevention.
About This Measure
This measure tracks the total number of hospital infection prevention and control staff per 100 authorized beds. A higher number may indicate that a hospital provides a higher level of patient care.
