RN turnover rate (Medical-Surgical)
Nurses leave their positions for a variety of reasons, including to gain experience in other clinical service areas within the hospital or at another facility. Nursing turnover is the number of nurses who left a clinical service area within a hospital during a calendar year. We look at our nursing turnover rate in four clinical areas: medical-surgical, critical care, mother-baby and behavioral health.
