RN turnover rate (Mother-Baby)
Nurses leave their positions for a variety of reasons, including to gain experience in other clinical service areas within the hospital or at another facility. Nursing turnover is the number of nurses who left a clinical service area within a hospital during a calendar year. We look at nursing turnover rate in four clinical areas: medical-surgical, critical care, maternal child, and behavioral health.
About This Measure
This measure tracks the percentage of nurses who left the mother-baby care units. A lower number may indicate that a hospital provides a higher level of patient care.
Note: Comparison data is not available for this measure. You can view results of other individual hospitals at http://www.healthcarereportcard.illinois.gov/.
