Heart Bypass Surgery (CABG)
Heart bypass surgery, also known as coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery, is a surgery in which the blood flow is rerouted through a new artery or vein that is grafted around diseased sections of a patient’s coronary arteries to increase blood flow to the heart muscle tissue. CABG surgery is sometimes performed along with heart valve repairs and replacements.
The following are our heart bypass surgery (CABG) measures.
Volume
- Heart bypass surgery (CABG) volume
- Heart bypass surgery (CABG): internal mammary artery usage
- Distribution of cardiac surgery procedures
Outcome
- Deaths following mitral valve replacement plus heart bypass surgery (CABG)
- Deaths following mitral valve repair plus heart bypass surgery (CABG)
- Deaths following heart bypass surgery (CABG)
- Deaths following aortic valve replacement plus heart bypass surgery (CABG)
- Heart bypass surgery (CABG) mortality
Safe Care
- Inpatient surgical care: appropriate antibiotic before coronary artery bypass (CABG) surgery (IDPH)
- Inpatient surgical care: timely antibiotic before coronary artery bypass (CABG) surgery (IDPH)
- Inpatient surgical care: antibiotic stopped at the right time after coronary artery bypass (CABG) surgery (IDPH)
- Inpatient surgical care: appropriate antibiotic before heart bypass (CABG) surgery (IHA)
- Inpatient surgical care: timely antibiotic before before heart bypass (CABG) surgery (IHA)
- Inpatient surgical care: antibiotics timely stopped after heart bypass (CABG) surgery (IHA)
- Inpatient surgical care: management of blood sugar after heart surgery
- Measures of heart bypass surgery (CABG) (Leapfrog Group)
- Antiplatelets prescribed at discharge for heart bypass (CABG) surgery patients
- Beta blockers prescribed at discharge for heart bypass (CABG) surgery patients
- Beta blockers prior to surgery for heart bypass (CABG) surgery patients
- Lipid lowering medications prescribed at discharge for heart bypass (CABG) surgery patients
