Nurses' support of mother's efforts to breastfeed (if applicable)

We survey mothers who have had babies in the hospital to find out how they felt about their care and the care of their babies. This measure evaluates how good the nurse support of mothers’ breastfeeding efforts was. The possible answers are: very good, good, fair, poor and very poor.

About this measure

This measure tracks how well nurses are doing in their efforts to support new mothers in breastfeeding attempts. We have posted the percentage of mothers who felt the nurse encouragement was either very good or good.

Note: In this measure, a higher number is better.
